Frederick (“Fritz”) Batson is a respected business litigator with over 30 years of experience. He is listed in several categories in Best Lawyers in America, including commercial litigation and construction litigation. His practice includes representing clients on a variety of business disputes. He particularly enjoys the challenge of representing both businesses and individuals in difficult and complex cases of all types.
Fritz is often involved in construction litigation cases. He represents owners (both commercial and residential), general contractors, suppliers, design professionals and subcontractors. He has long represented and continues to represent and assist Oregon-based forest products companies and landowners in various private and public disputes in land use litigation. His general litigation practice includes representing businesses and individuals in disputes involving contracts, product performance, and the distribution of various products. Fritz also represents individuals and businesses in trademark, copyright and trade secret cases.
Fritz has lived in Eugene for over 30 years. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including diving in the warm waters of the Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia coasts, biking, hiking, and occasionally skiing. He leads a volunteer dive crew at the Oregon Coast Aquarium that dives in the various exhibits, including the seven gill sharks, and has done so for over a decade.
